Your Exhibit Booth Design, Attractions and Take-Aways, with the Salesmanship in between, will affect the total success of your Conference.
The purpose of this Exhibit Booth Design Guide is to help you create and design your Exhibit Booth in such a way that all of your Staff feels special, all of the Attendees receive the maximum rewards, and your Goals are met in the highest manner.
We begin to design your Exhibit Booth by asking a few questions:
When Is Your Exhibit Conference Being Held?
The time of year and season of the Conference may have an impact on the number
of Attendees and Exhibitors, as well as the Theme and Gift Ideas of your Booth.
Where Is Your Exhibit Conference Being Held?
Also, if the location is outside of your home city, you will want to plan for your
Accommodations, Travel and Shipping needs.
The actual Location Site of the Conference may play a part in determining the size
of your Booth, as well as your Booth Location within the Exhibit Room.

What Is The Design Of Your Exhibit Booth?
The Size and Design of the Booth should determine how many Staff Members will attend,
as well as the type of Booth Attraction.
If your Booth is medium size (8 foot square) with an open front boundary, 1 Staff
Member in the Booth may look lost - especially with large backdrops. In a booth this
size, consider 2 Staff Members during quiet times, and 4 at the most during peak times.
With an open front, you may want your Attraction just inside the invisible boundary
to draw guests into the Booth to visit with your Staff.
With a front boundary, such as a table, you may want less Staff inside the Booth,
with the Attraction just outside of the Booth, but out of the way of traffic.

Create a plan of action which utilizes all of your company and personal strengths
so that you can meet all of your objectives.
You may wish to design your Booth in accordance with the Conference Theme. For
Example, "Building a Better Tomorrow with Today's Tools", may inspire a shiny backdrop
with small tools, such as mini hammers and saws, as Give-Aways.
Your Company's mission and vision have a major impact on the actual culture of your
organization. If focus is on the "no-nonsense straight and narrow", it may be difficult to see
your company culture as "zany and exciting". On the other hand, it is totally possible to
convey your company culture and be professionally personable.
As mentioned earlier, you may wish to follow the theme of the Conference. With
the Conference Theme of "Building a Better Tomorrow with Today's Tools", your
Booth may reflect "We Are Your Tools For Creating The Future".
The proper Booth Design should reflect your Company Culture, flow with the Theme
of the Conference, and Attract the interest of visitors.
There should be enough Staff Members in the Exhibit Booth to meet all of the Guests during
the peak times. Yet the Exhibit Booth should not seem overcrowded during quiet times.
You will want your Staff Members to be easily recognizable as a member of your firm.
Consider a uniform of Cardigans or Polo Shirts with your company logo.
Professional Attraction Entertainment will initially entice guests to your Booth,
then turn the attention over to your Exhibit Booth Staff.
Door Prizes, Hand-Outs, Take-Aways and Free Gifts are also utilized to attract visitors and business cards,
which help build your personal Contact List. Those complementary gifts which carry
your company name and logo will serve as souvenirs and reminders of a wonderful visit -
opening the doors for future business.
